Product Description Low friction and long term emissions control Valve stem seals provide a defined metering rate of oil to the valve stem interface of internal combustion engines to lubricate the valve guide and minimize engine emissions. They are available for diesel and gasoline engines with and without boosting. In addition to conventional valve stem seals, our offer also includes valve stem seals for engines with high pressures in the manifolds, e.g. because of turbo chargers or for exhaust brakes on commercial engines. Featuring a low friction design, these seals improve the quality of emissions and enhance engine operation by withstanding high pressures in the exhaust and intake ports of the engine. Nylon 2. PTFE rubber 3. Nitrile rubber 4. Polyacrylate rubber 5. Viton rubber Viton is the best material currently available for use in many of today's hotter-running engines, particularly the smaller domestic and imported models. lt is often combined with a “metal jacket" or covering that totally totally surrounds the Viton positive seal. Viton offers excellent resistance to both heat (up to 450 F) and abrasion, and is the material of choice for most Fel-Pro valve stem seals. In addition to standard valve stem seals, our offer includes seals for engines with high pressure in the manifolds, e.g. because of turbo chargers or for exhaust brakes on commercial engines. These seals are designed to support even the most challenging requirements of modern light vehicle and heavy-duty engines. Moving from the base line of the standard designs, the contact load can be increased, an additional sealing lip can be incorporated and, ultimately, an extended metal stamping can be used to obtain a maximum pressure resistance.
