Structural features and working principle Typical structure: An oil seal is usually composed of a metal skeleton (to enhance strength), an elastic body (such as rubber, fluororubber) sealing lip and a spring (to tighten the sealing lip). Sealing principle: Static sealing: The outer edge of the oil seal is in an interference fit with the shell for a fixed seal. Dynamic sealing: The sealing lip adheres tightly to the shaft surface by the pressure of the spring and elastic deformation, forming an oil film to achieve dynamic sealing (if the oil film is too thick, it will leak; if it is too thin, it will cause dry friction).
